Mascara Tips

You don’t have to be a pro makeup artist to create eyes that seriously stun. You can get that beautiful look all on your own with the help of your trusty mascara wand. Think of mascara as the finishing touch to your makeup routine. Applied after eyeshadow, eyeliner, and any other eye makeup, using mascara will complete your look. Most makeup artists use an eyelash curler first to open up the eyes. So, we recommend before applying mascara, use an eyelash curler to lift and lengthen your lashes.
If you wish you can now put on a coat of eyelash primer - optional though.
Now pick your favorite mascara. Keep in mind mascaras do have an expiration date. About 3 months is advised.
Pumping your mascara wand is not an ideal habit as it actually forces air into the product, making it much easier for bacteria to spread. Instead, pull the wand upward and gently twirl it to evenly distribute the product. Remove any excess from your mascara wand before proceeding. Apply your mascara by looking down or straight at least, but not up. Looking up while applying mascara can make transfers to your eyelid more likely.
Place the wand at the base of your upper lashes, and wiggle it back and forth, coating the base of your lashes. Then pull the wand upward towards the tip of your eyelashes, making sure you are coating every part of your lashes as you pull through. Move slowly to avoid clumping. Repeat this step until you get the thickness and look you want. Take care not to let the product dry in between coats as this can make your eyelashes brittle and weak.
When it comes to your bottom lashes, you’ll want to be extra careful not to use too much product and create clumps. To avoid this, use the tip of the wand and apply your mascara just at the roots of your lower lashes.
Et voilà
