How to Apply Loose Minerals

If you are like me, you may have never used mineral foundation before and have no clue exactly how to use it. That’s okay! Once I learned how to properly apply mineral makeup, I never went back to liquid foundation and trust me, neither will you!

So how exactly do you apply our mineral foundation? Excellent question! Just follow these simple steps:

Prep:

Before you begin, apply your moisturizer and let it soak in. This will give the loose minerals a good, even base.

Step 1:

The first thing to do is turn the lock on the sifter and tap some foundation into the lid. Keep in mind that with pure minerals, a little goes a long way. Loose foundation lets you build your coverage, so you can take your look from sheer to full coverage in a matter of seconds.

Step 2:

Next you want to swirl your brush around in the lid to capture the minerals into the brush fibers. Make sure to use a good quality brush that is soft and fluffy for the best results.

Step 3:

Once you have the powder on the brush, tap the brush on a flat surface so that the minerals drop deeper into the brush. This will give you an even distribution of foundation into the brush.

Step 4:

Now use a circular motion and apply the foundation all around your face.  As you do the circles, the minerals will warm up and your skin will absorb those good-for-you minerals. This gives you an even application of minerals for a natural look.
