We all know that when it comes to skin, there are many factors that can play into its appearance. With that in mind, we’ve complied a few habits that seem to really contribute towards having beautiful, healthy looking skin. How many can you check off?
- Have a set skincare routine
Having a great skincare routine is foundational to having great skin. It’s often the first thing that people think of when they are ready to take care of their skin. Having a set routine that you follow every day and every night is crucial for you to see any results from your products. Consistency is key and that holds true to your skincare as well.
You do not have to have an over-the-top routine in order to have results. In fact, the more simplified your routine, the better. Start off with the basics: cleanser and moisturizer such as Antioxidant Foaming Cleanser from Deluvia’s Dead Sea line and their Miracle Aloe Cream as moisturizer. Once you have your basics down, you can start adding different products for your specific needs. There are many ways to control stress in your life! A few of them are going for a walk in the fresh air or doing something you like to do. Other ways are meditation or stretching. Something as simple as putting on your favorite song can even help! Once you get your stress under control, you will begin to see major differences in your overall well-being which may improve the appearance of your skin.
- Healthy and balanced diet
Whether you like it or not, you are what you eat. The human body needs a healthy and balanced diet to function properly. When it does not receive that, it cannot repair itself resulting and dull and tired looking skin. What you put into your body is so important! If you would like clear and glowing skin, stay away from excess sugar, greasy foods, and “fast” food. Instead, fill your body with more good-for-you nutrients like fruits, vegetables and whole foods.

Everyone is different and everyone had different needs. Make sure that you talk to your doctor before making any major dietary changes. When you find that balanced diet, you will start feeling and looking better. Your skin will thank you!
- Wear sunscreen
This is one that many people forget about. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve perfected your skin care routine. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend on your skincare products. If you are not wearing sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun, your skincare routine will not get the best results. Sounds harsh but it’s true! UV rays can do a number on your skin and if you are not doing anything to protect your skin from them, you are not giving your products a chance to really work their magic. So please do your skin a favor and use sunscreen!
